End Client: City of Charles Sturt
Status: Unbuilt

Outlines entered the Henley Square Urban Design Competition run by the City of Charles Sturt. The Henley Square Precinct is a popular and vibrant beachside destination within the Adelaide Metropolitan Area with a strong regional appeal and community value. The competition seeked to re-energise this Adelaide square and its surroundings, while preserving its existing character and cultural heritage.

Outlines design was based upon the biomimicry of the natural dune system with the complementary contrast of organic and orthogonal forms. These ‘dunes’ provide protection from wind and sun while also creating an area of play and activity.

Outlines would like to congratulate the short-listed firms; Oxigen with lahznimmo architects, Taylor Cullity Lethlean and Tridente Architects + Matt Davis + Sharon Mackay.
