A rethinking of a vacant site with a huge river red gum tree in the civic heart of Werribee led to the development of a new public open space which links directly to the Werribee River.

The piazza is designed as a flexible space used for events, markets, or for quiet seating and viewing. On the drawing board is the design of a kiosk structure to activate the street interface and proposed pedestrian bridge which will spring from the piazza to paths and parks on the opposite side of the river corridor.
